The Annual Parish Steak & Awards BBQ will take place Friday, June 9, 2006 in the parish hall. Tickets are $15 for Adults; Children (12 and under) eat for Free (Hamburgers/Hot Dogs). Doors open at 6:00 PM and dinner starts at 7:00 PM.

Tickets will be available after all weekend masses. Be sure to get your tickets early, as it’s always a sell out!

The Knights of Columbus Holy Cross Council 10617 celebrated their 15th anniversary at a dinner held on April 21, 2006 in the parish hall. In the program, Fr. James congratulated the Knights on their many years of faithful service to the parish: “Holy Cross Parish is very much indebted to you for your generous support to the Parish with your different projects and your time, as well as financially. On this auspicious occasion, I would like to remind you that ‘living in service to all is one of the most dynamic qualities of being a Knight.’ ”

The Holy Cross Council Knights of Columbus and the parish's Youth Group are co-operating to clean up a portion of the airport parkway on Saturday, May 6, 2006. The Knights have been organizing the cleanup of the Parkway between Walkley Road and Hunt Club Road twice yearly since 1999. The vounteers will meet in the parking lot at 9:00 a.m. After the cleanup, they will enjoy a well-deserved pizza lunch.

The Knights of Columbus of Holy Cross Council hosted the annual Pancake Breakfast in the Parish Hall after the morning Masses on Sunday, February 26, 2006. One hundred and sixty-seven parishioners purchased tickets for the event.

"If you don't start, you don't have to stop" is the message of this year's winning entry in the Drug Abuse Awareness poster contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus of Holy Cross Council.
