Holy Cross Parish will be presenting "Five Pillars of the Spiritual Life", a series of video presentations by Fr. Robert Spitzer S.J., on six consecutive Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. beginning on October 19, 2009. All parishioners and interested members of the public are invited to take part.

Children's Liturgy will start again on Sunday, September 13th at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. All children ages 4-12 are welcome to attend.

The liturgy follows the regular Mass, including a reading, the Gospel, a homily, prayers of the faithful and the Apostles' Creed. Parents of the younger children are welcome to attend if that will help their child be more comfortable.

We are looking for musicians to accompany the singing. Volunteers are also needed to help set up the environment, to do the readings and to lead the services.

The Holy Cross Parish Youth Group held their third car wash in recent years at the Sunday morning Masses on August 30. They extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parishioners who supported their efforts so generously.

A portion of the contributions to this fund raising event will go to support one of the group's members who is spending a year with NET Ministries of Canada. The remainder will support the group's parish activities throughout the remainder of the year.

Holy Cross Parish is hosting Catholicism 201 on eight consecutive Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. beginning on September 25, 2008. All parishioners and interested members of the public are invited to take part.

Two members of Holy Cross Parish, Andrew Flynn and Krista Costanza, received a special blessing from Fr James before departing on a World Youth Day pilgrimage to Australia. Andrew and Krista also received a gift from the Holy Cross Youth Group, as a token of appreciation for their leadership and participation in group events.
