We will honour Father's Day at Holy Cross with our second Friday Night at the Movies.

It is an occasion to celebrate Dad, not only our own Father, but all men who have acted as a father figure in our lives - Stepfathers, Uncles, Grandfathers or 'Big Brothers'. The highly rated film Tuesdays With Morrie will be featured. This special event will take place at Holy Cross on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. Great entertainment and food will be provided. All are welcome to come celebrate and bring a friend!

The Annual Holy Cross Parish Steak & Awards BBQ will take place Friday, June 12, 2009 in the parish hall.

Join your fellow parishioners for dinner at this wonderful parish event. As always, for just $15, you get an 8oz striploin steak cooked to order, and your choice of baked potatoes, fresh rolls, salad, and dessert. Children, 12 and under, are encouraged to join their parents at dinner, and will be served their choice of free hamburgers and hot dogs. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the steaks will be hot off the BBQ at around 7:00 PM.

In honour of all mothers, a movie night featuring the story and work of Mother Teresa will be shown in the hall at Holy Cross on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. We encourage you to bring a food item to share. Door prizes and entertainment. Come to have fun with your fellow parishioners.

All are welcome to attend this years Parish Lenten Mission. Fr. Luc Tardif OMI and Fr. Joy Mampillikunnel CMF will be speaking on "St. Paul: His Contribution in the Life and the Mission of the Church". In this year of St. Paul, it is apt and fitting to come together and reflect upon the conversion and mission of this Great Apostle of Nations.
