Hospitality Committee hosts Annual Parish Supper

The Hospitality Committee served the parish's annual Old Fashion Parish Supper on Saturday, November 5, 2011. As always, the committee did a superb job in organizing the event and treating parishioners to a memorable meal. Karen Flynn, the Hospitality Committee Chair, hosted the sold-out event; Fr. Reg McNeil led the attendees in saying grace before the meal.

Holy Cross Parish held a farewell party on August 20 in honour of our associate pastor, Fr. Lukose Kochupurackal, C.M.F., who has received an appointment as pastor of St. Bernard Parish, effective September 1, 2011.

Approximately 180 parishioners attended the event, which was hosted by the Hospitality Committee and the Knights of Columbus.

Spring Tea hosted by Hospitality Committee

Spring Tea, May 28, 2-4 pm

The Hospitality Committee invites all parishioners to a SPRING TEA to be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 from 2-4 pm in the parish hall. We will be serving assorted sandwiches and sweets as well as a variety of teas.

Christmas Craft and Bake Sale - December 5

The Hospitality Committee invites you to mark your calendar for the Annual Christmas Bake and Craft Sale on Sunday, December 5, 2010 after all morning Masses in the parish hall.

You’ll be sure to find some special gifts from among the tables – African Angels, Partage Prints, Fair Trade Coffee, and sewing and craft items. The bake table will be full of pies, cookies, loaves, etc. in addition to Pecan Rings and Chelsea Buns brought in fresh from Richmond Bakery! Pick up a ham bun and sit down and relax at Café Noël.

Old Fashioned Parish Supper - November 13

Mark your calendars for our Old Fashioned Parish Supper which will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010. The dinner includes roast turkey with all the trimmings, ham, veggies, rolls, dessert and coffee, tea or juice. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $13 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The hospitality committee will be selling tickets for three weeks only, starting on the weekend of October 23-24, 2010.

The supper is always a sell-out, so get your tickets early!
