Holy Cross Parish hosted a Grand Ultreya to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Ottawa Roman Catholic Cursillo Movement. Archbishop Terrence Prendergast celebrated Mass for the approximately 300 parishioners and visitors in attendance on June, 8, 2016.
Father Tavis Goski, a member of Holy Cross Parish, was ordained to the priesthood on June 3, 2016, by Archbishop Terrence Prendergast at Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa.
Father Goski celebrated his first Mass at Holy Cross Parish the following day. A reception in the parish hall followed the Mass.
This year Holy Cross Parish is renting a school bus to take parishioners to Parliament Hill to join in the National March for Life on Thursday, May 12. The bus will leave the parish parking lot at 12:30 pm and leave from Parliament Hill at 3:30 pm.
To reserve a place on the bus use the sign up sheet at the Walkley entrance to the church. The bus seats 48 people.

Club 55+ is organizing a new initiative in the parish - Neighbours Helping Neighbours, a seniors' ministry. The program begins with a series of training sessions. The series gives participants an opportunity to grow skills they may be practicing now or believe will soon be needed in the near future with aging family, friends and neighbours!
The training sessions run on four consecutive Monday morning in the Parish Hall: November 9, 16, 23 and 30, from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
40 Days for Life is an International Campaign to end abortion by prayer, fasting and prayerful vigil outside abortion facilities around the world. This movement, with God’s help, has produced extraordinary results – more than 650,000 participants, and 10,331 lives have been saved.
You can participate in this movement by praying and fasting to end abortion and also by signing up to spend an hour or two praying at the Vigil site across the street from the abortion facility at 65 Bank St.
