Holy Cross Youth Group Holds Annual Retreat

The Holy Cross Youth Group held its annual fall retreat on Saturday, October 22. The guest speaker was Lee Leonard, a missionary with Catholic Christian Outreach and an active member of the parish community.

The theme of Lee's talk was building a closer relationship with God. God loves us for who we are, and if we recognize that He loves us, we will feel closer to Him. When sin enters our lives, it separates us from God, and our relationship with him is altered. Jesus came to us so that sin would no longer block our relationship with God. We all have the ability to say 'yes' to God.

Activities during the retreat included making match stick crosses and sharing in a meal. To complete the event, Fr. James said Mass for the Youth Group.
