Holy Cross Parish welcomed our new Archbishop, Terrence Prendergast, for his first pastoral visit to our parish on April 26, 2008.

After celebrating Mass, the Archbishop joined 150 parishioners for a reception in the parish hall. Several brief presentations were made by members of parish committees to introduce our community to the Archbishop. Peter Tobin spoke about MPD's activities on behalf of social justice and African AIDS relief; Simone Larouche described the Pastoral Care committee's ministry; Jean Belanger recounted accomplishments of Ottawa Foyers Partage and Robin Goski spoke about the parish's thriving youth group.
