A large crew of volunteers cleaned the interior, outside windows and yard at Holy Cross on Saturday, May 17, 2008.

Each year, devoted parishioners turn out to wash the pews, clean windows and dust all the surfaces. Yard work includes picking up litter, washing the windows and pruning trees; in addition, the computer systems were updated. This year, the volunteers were bolstered by a large turnout from the parish Youth Group.

The spring cleaning continues the ongoing work of beautifying and maintaining the parish property. In the past year, repairs to our roof, steps and sidewalks have been undertaken. During the winter, the interior was repainted. Currently, the building committee is reviewing the lighting system, with a view to improving its efficiency and making it more environmentally responsible.
