On June 22, the Holy Cross Youth Group held the final activity of their busy year, washing cars for parishioners at the weekend Masses when the weather permitted. Proceeds of the car wash helped support two pilgrims attending World Youth Day, a member of NET Ministries, and the ongoing activities of the Youth Group.

During the past year, the Youth Group has been active in many capacities. They have led Stations of the Cross, participated in the Day of Adoration and organized Good Friday services for young parishioners. Their fund-raising activities included two car washes and a memorable spaghetti dinner. And their social activities included a hike in the Gatineau and attending Handel's Messiah.

The Youth Group took a leading role in organizing and delivering the parish's Children's Liturgy program. The Youth Group provided the leaders and musicians, managed set-up and take-down of the worship area, and organized the scheduling of all volunteers. The Children's Liturgy program ran throughout the school year at the 9:30 Sunday Mass.
