The Holy Cross Parish Youth Group held their third car wash in recent years at the Sunday morning Masses on August 30. They extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parishioners who supported their efforts so generously.

A portion of the contributions to this fund raising event will go to support one of the group's members who is spending a year with NET Ministries of Canada. The remainder will support the group's parish activities throughout the remainder of the year.

The youth group has plans for a busy year in 2009-10. Their program will begin on Saturday, September 12 with a retreat focusing on the importance of being part of the Catholic community. The retreat will feature a teaching Mass led by Fr. James and a talk by Brother Steven Boucher, o.p. Other activities planned for the year include volunteering at a local food bank, organizing their third annual pasta dinner, and various social and spiritual events.

The Holy Cross Parish Youth Group is open to all young parishioners of junior high school age to young adult; younger children are also welcome to take part in many of their events.
