The third annual Indo-Canadian Gala served up generous amounts of musical entertainment and exciting Indian cuisine to nearly 200 guests on Friday, May 11, 2007.

After Fr. James made the formal welcome and offered grace, the guests enjoyed a buffet prepared by Joe Thottungal and the staff from the Coconut Lagoon restaurant. The buffet featured tomato and ginger soup, salads, various breads, and beef, chicken and salmon dishes spiced to perfection.

The audience was treated to songs by George and Bhavani Nair, classical Indian dance by Swapna Gopal and team, and Irish dance by twenty dancers from the Trillium Academy.

Fr. Lukose closed the evening by thanking all the dedicated volunteers who had worked so hard to make the evening such a successful event, especially the members of the hospitality committee and the parish youth group.
